Open with relevance, not a pitch

The first ten seconds should answer 'why are you calling me?' Reference the lead source — a form fill, event attendance, or prior enquiry — before mentioning your product.

Avoid robotic intros like 'I hope you're having a great day'. Prospects tune out immediately. Lead with context: 'You requested a callback about…'

One question at a time

AI agents perform best with short, single-intent questions. Stack two questions in one breath and prospects answer only the last one.

Use branching in what your AI knows for common paths: already has a provider, wrong timing, needs to speak to a partner.

Book the meeting on the call

Don't end with 'I'll send a link'. Offer two specific slots while you have attention. 'Would Tuesday at 10 or Wednesday at 2 work for a 15-minute review?'

Confirm email and timezone before hanging up. Calendar invites sent during the call see higher show rates.
